The U.S. Treasury will award the State of Hawaiʻi with $115M through the Coronavirus Capital Projects Fund which will help to improve critical infrastructure, including broadband for rural underserved areas. To help prioritize projects and create a strategic plan for the allocation of these funds for capital projects, the University of Hawaiʻi has been designated by Governor Ige to develop a strategic framework. For The State of Hawaiʻi to make data-driven decisions, residents are requested to submit a survey which collects information to help inform broadband advocacy and access in Hawaiʻi. ʻAuamo Collaborative, the organization conducting the survey is hiring community liaisons to assist with data collection. https://www.auamocollaborative.org/rural-broadband
